Comprehensive technical support
In the development departments of its customers, Arrow is represented by application engineers (FAE) and technical marketing managers (TMM) from Engineering Services, who provide technical assistance all the way from product concept drafting through the entire life cycle of an application to its productive implementation. Overall, more than 250 application engineers are employed by Arrow EMEA. These representatives offer support to customers in Design-In projects, which have been growing in significance within the industry for years and form the basis of future industrial applications. In most areas Arrow categorises the FAEs in Solution FAE (system solution expert) and specialised FAE with a strong dedication to one technology area. In the Embedded segment, Business Development Managers support customers on technical level. Further assistance is offered by internal and regional product specialists. Design support therefore includes much more than the simple product selection.
More than 900 sales employees are also dedicated to fulfilling customer requirements directly on-site and in close proximity to customers. Arrow experts advise customers on the optimal selection of components and work together with them to create complete solutions and systems for the whole application. For developers of complex semiconductor applications, Arrow has created the development programmes Embedded Platform Concept (EPC) and Testdrive. The EPC is a modular system application with various boards and engineering services (more information available at www.embedded-paltform.com). Testdrive offers developers the opportunity to borrow a range of evaluation boards for a specific period and test them in accordance with their requirements. Numerous renowned manufacturers participate in this initiative.
