ST-Ericsson: Snowball SDK/PDK eval board (based on Nova A9500 Dual Cortex A9 + Mali 400 GPU)

The Snowball developer board is a small-sized, low cost, powerful, feature-rich development tool, which enables fast and easy development of mobile applications.

It combines ST-Ericsson’s Nova A9500 dual-core application processor with innovative MEMS (3D gyroscope, accelerometer, magnetometer and a barometer), GPS, Wi-Fiand BluetoothTM features, in small form factor battery-operated device. With support for 3D graphics, HD video and HDMI output, the Snowball puts cutting-edge mobile technologies within reach of a broad community of professional developers.

ST-Ericsson has made the Snowball software available as open source code and established a collaboration portal dedicated to developers working on its platforms. Open source specialist Movial has been selected to develop, support and run the Igloo community. The Igloo community site contains information on getting started, user guides and releases, as well as recommendations for hardware interfaces, peripherals and complete software packages that are already aligned with open source requirements and standards.
