New integrated PFC and HBC high-power resonant LED driver SSL4120 enabling unprecedented efficiency.
The SSL4120 Multi-Chip-Module comprises both a controller for Power Factor Correction (PFC) as well as for Half-Bridge resonant conversion. It provides the drive function for the discrete MOSFET in an up-converter and for two MOSFETs in a LLC-topology. It can act as constant current LED driver or as prestage for several DC/DC Buck channels.
Features:
- Efficiency levels of 94% possible > 100W (PFC: quasi-resonant mode; HBC: zero-voltage LLC resonant mode conversion)
- Variable output voltage by frequency control and burst mode operation
- Improved THD behavior with PFC frequency of 380kHz
