Arrow Europe Components is one of three global Arrow Electronics sales organisations, in addition to Arrow Americas and Arrow Asia/Pacific. With headquarters in Melville, New York, and with 11,300 employees worldwide, Arrow Electronics, Inc. is a global provider of products, services and solutions for industrial and commercial users of electronic components and computing solutions for businesses. Arrow was founded in 1935.
In 2009, Arrow recorded sales figures of 14.7 billion US dollars.

Arrow’s business activity is divided into the two global areas of Components, which deals with electronic components, and ECS (Enterprise Computing Solutions), a business unit with computing products and services for value-added resellers and system integrators.

In the area of Components, Arrow acts as a broadline distributor to offer its customers a broad product portfolio spanning analogue and digital semiconductors, passive and electro-mechanical components, plug connections and embedded solutions. In the field of Arrow Embedded Solutions (AES), Arrow offers displays, power supplies, wireless technologies and technical silicones.  The president of Arrow Electronics Components Europe is Brian McNally.

Country Overview & Contacts

Arrow Europe offers a complete range of services in the areas of Supply Chain Management and other value-added services. Special market requirements such as environmental regulations (RoHS, REACH, WEEE, etc.) are complied with in full. Many Arrow customers design and produce solutions at several different locations all over the world, and therefore present special requirements concerning the management of complex supply chain solutions.

The implementation of the appropriate logistics solution is based on a detailed requirement analysis. Specialists in the Arrow Europe Business Process Excellence and Logistics & Operations departments identify the most efficient solution for customers. The aim is to establish a secure and long-term requirements plan which, using the corresponding logistics model, ensures stable and reliable relations throughout the delivery chain.

Arrow’s largest Distribution Logistics Centre (DLC) is located in Venlo in The Netherlands. Two further warehouses for customers in Northern and Southern Europe are situated in the Swedish city of Lunda and the Italian municipality of Cornaredo respectively. In these warehouses, products are packed and labelled individually according to the customer’s specific requirements. The services offered also include electronic interfaces to customer systems, in order to ensure the efficient transmission of order information or product change notifications. In terms of capacity, the DLC in Venlo is one of the largest component warehouses in the world, and boasts cutting-edge technology to guarantee that customers receive their orders in the shortest time possible.
